Meow 67 / Megan Eckman

Megan Eckman is a writer and artist originally from Fargo, North Dakota and now living in California. She has a degree both in drawing and creative writing. She has recently self-published her first book, HowTo Outsmart Tea Pirates (And Other Useful Sailing Tips). It's available from her online shop, along with prints and other lovely items featuring her detailed pen and ink drawings. Megan doesn't own a cat at the moment, so these are some pictures of her previous, adorable cat named Cootie. 

Meow 66 / Heather Mattoon

Heather Mattoon is the artist behind Cats In Clothes and she paints - you may have guessed it - cats in clothes! But they're not merely animals in clothes, each cat has a unique character and fashion style. They are both beautiful and hilarious. Prints and postcards are available from Heather's Etsy shop and she takes on custom pet portrait commissions, too. Heather currently owns three cats: Edgur, Mia and Megan (clockwise from left). 

Meow 65 / Philippa Kruger

Philippa Kruger is an artist from Australia who loves to combine her line drawings with collected textures and fabrics in her lovely illustrations. She has recently created a beautiful window mural for the shop Irving Baby in Adelaide and launched a gorgeous range of wooden cat brooches. Meow 64 / Mathilde Aubier

Mathilde Aubier is a French graphic designer and illustrator. She effortlessly combines drawing, collage and typography - creating humorous and wonderfully unique pieces of art. I'm smitten with her beautiful colour palette. A few of Mathilde's cat images are available as prints from her Etsy Shop. Don't forget to check out her blog! Mathilde's cat is called Miko. 

Meow 63 / Mel Stringer

Mel Stringer is an illustrator from Australia, whose wonderful work regularly appears in Frankie magazine. I adore her characters and beautiful use of colour! She publishes her own little zines and comics, including the  'A Day With Vera Flynn Fern' (about the day of a cat) and makes amazing dolls and so many other amazing crafty and drawn things - you must check out her Etsy shop ! Mel doesn't own a cat at the moment, but she made this self portrait of herself with a Siamese cat especially for We Say Meow. More of her latest work can be seen over at her blog. 

Meow 62 / Jen Collins

Jen Collins lives in Glasgow, where she creates illustrations inspired by people, nature and every day occurrences - they are absolutely lovely and I've been a fan for a long time. Make sure to check out her blog, where she shares more of her work as well as photos of her beautiful workspace and flat - so inspiring! (I'm a little envious). The fantastic Cat Tote Bag and Cat Notebook are available from her Etsy shop. Jen doesn't own any cats herself, but she likes to make feline friends. The cats in the photos are George, Desmond and Biscuit.

Meow 61 / Harriet Damave

Harriet Damave is an artist from Amsterdam. She makes unique hand painted ceramics as well as porcelain delft jewellery, wall hangings and ornaments. There were so many amazing cat-themed items in her two shops (House Of Harriet & Harriet Damave), I had a hard time picking only a few! Her big black cat is called Bessie and was adopted from a cat shelter eight years ago. Meow 60 / Ekaterina Trukhan

I have recently discovered the lovely work of Ekaterina Trukhan, she is originally from Russia and now lives in London. Ekaterina has recently had a book published called Me and My Cat, published by Macmillan Children's Books,  about a friendship between a girl and her cat. Ekaterina is running a competition to win a free signed copy! All you need to do is leave a comment on her blog answering the question 'why do you like cats?'. Ekaterina will select the winner on July 20th. Her pretty ginger cat is called Moris.

Meow 59 / Nicola Rowlands

Nicola Rowlands is an artist and graphic designer living in Manchester, where she creates her charming illustrations and the products she sells in her Etsy shop.  Her Taco Kitty tote bag was recently featured in Frankie Magazine. She's also a runner, which makes her super cool in my books! (There totally should be a blog about illustrators who run.) Nicola dreams of owning a white cat at some point in the future, but for now she got the best birthday cat cake ever! Don't forget to check out her blog.

Meow 58 / Jordan Grace Owens

Jordan Grace Owens is an artist, illustrator and maker of beautiful paper dolls. Her work is hand-drawn an hand-painted using micron pens, vintage papers and acrylic paints. I've been following her wonderful work for a long time and I'm so happy that she agreed to be featured on this little blog! Jordan recently moved to Charlottesville, where she lives in a mountain house with her boyfriend and their two cats, Bogie and Slaughter. Meow 57 / Leah Reena Goren

Leah Reena Goren lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and their adorable kitten Moses. This month she will be graduating with a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design. Leah's blog is overflowing with beautiful work in her loose, painterly style.
