Cassandre Montoriol is an illustrator and textiles designer based in Paris, France. I love her quirky cat drawings. You can see more examples of her work on her website. She also has a shop with stylist Virginia Bussierre called Miaow selling a range of accessories. Her black and white cat is called Armstrong.

Meow 33 / Sam McCullen

Sam McCullen is an illustrator and children's book author from the UK. His first picture book 'Billy Back-To-Front' was published by Hodder Children's Books in 2006. You can see more of his fantastic work on his website and blog
His hilarious cat is called Billy, the photos make me laugh every time I see them! Billy is a bit of a celebrity as the photo of him with the cat nip was featured in the 2007 'Bad Cat' calendar.

Meow 32 / Kate Larsen

Kate Larsen is a London based graphic designer and illustrator. I met Kate at a craft fair I did just before Christmas and love her work. You can see more examples of her work on her website www.boxofbirds.co.uk She has some lovely prints and brooches on her etsy shop. The photo is of her friend's kitten called Cleo and is a burmese blue, so sweet!

Laura Hughes is a London based illustrator with an adorable cat named Lulu. I was lucky enough to go to university with Laura and it was always exciting to sneak a peek into her sketchbooks! Mimi Kirchner is a Boston-based artist who creates wonderfully imaginative, excuisitely hand-crafted dolls. The beautiful cats above are only a tiny fragment of the amazing range of characters she creates, so make sure to check out her shop! Etsy also made one of their hand-made portrait videos about Mimi, you can check it out here . It makes me so happy and inspired to just look at her work. Her own lovely ginger cat is called Mango.

Abigail Brown is a textile artist and illustrator based in London. She makes beautiful creatures from different coloured and patterned fabrics, she creates lovely illustrations, too. Meow 28 / Vivienne Strauss

Vivienne Strauss is an artist living in Portland with her husband Matte Stephens (whom we featured back in July). She paints these amazingly beautiful stories of people, dogs and of course cats! It was so hard to chose which pictures to show, so you must promise to check out her blog and Etsy shop.
Her own cats are called Simon, Krasner, Lillian and Irving. I have a soft spot for Irving, not just because of his eye, but he also looks just like my late cat Elvis.

Meow 27 / Allison Cole

Allison Cole is an illustrator based in Providence, Rhode Island in the US. I love her illustrations, use of colour and patterns, you can see more of her wonderful work on her website. She has a fantastic online store online store called Bang Bang You're Thread where you can buy lots of her art and illustrated goodies. Allison's gorgeous cats are called Mister T and Cleo, Mister T is the tuxedo cat and Cleo is the tortoiseshell. They love to help as well as cause trouble while Allison works, evident in the pictures above! They especially like to cause trouble when she has an illustration deadline.

Meow 26 / Jamie Shelman

I am so pleased to have come across Jamie Shelman's very lovely cat drawings. Jamie lives on Martha's Vineyard, MA with her husband and fellow artist Thomas D Meyer. Jamie graduated from Rhode Island School of Design and describes herself as a painter, artist and cat fancier. She is currently working on her first children's book.
Her beautiful ginger cat is called Miss Mave who likes to play hide and seek. You can see more of Jamie's work on her website and you can buy her cat drawings form her etsy shop 'The Dancing Cat'.

Kate Hindley is a wonderful illustrator living in Worcestershire, UK. I love her illustrations and the characters she creates. Kate works using ink and pencil and then adds colour and collage digitally.
