Meow 26 / Jamie Shelman

I am so pleased to have come across Jamie Shelman's very lovely cat drawings. Jamie lives on Martha's Vineyard, MA with her husband and fellow artist Thomas D Meyer. Jamie graduated from Rhode Island School of Design and describes herself as a painter, artist and cat fancier. She is currently working on her first children's book.
Her beautiful ginger cat is called Miss Mave who likes to play hide and seek. You can see more of Jamie's work on her website and you can buy her cat drawings form her etsy shop 'The Dancing Cat'.

    I love the cats in costumes, especially the cactus and the oven glove! However I would not like realy cats in costumes.

    I am so excited to have found such a lovely blog!

    I was always a dog lover who didn't really understand cats. Until, we adopted Sylvester two years ago, I have now seen the error of my ways and have become a true cat lover!
